When it comes to memories that will last us a lifetime, there only a few events that can beat a family vacation. To get the most out of your family vacation, you need to find places which have attractions for both kids and adults. This in itself can be quite challenging, especially if you aim for places that won’t drill a hole through your wallet. Well, family vacations don’t need to be very expensive. If you look hard enough, you’ll find many destinations that offer fun for the whole family without being too expensive.

Fortunately, you don’t have to look anymore because I’ve compiled a list of my four favorite travel destinations that also happen to be inexpensive as well.

Grand Canyon

As it turned out, one of the most breathtaking sights in the world happens to be one of the most affordable as well. Pictures of the Grand Canyon simply don’t do it any justice. This massive chasm and a natural wonder is something that you need to see in person to believe. If you are planning to book a hotel, make sure that you do it in advance since it can get pretty crowded in there especially during spring and summer. Not for a family who’s looking for a more secluded attraction.

Yosemite

The Yosemite National Park is certainly one of the most formidable natural landscapes in the United States. With 1200 square miles of breathtaking vistas, it’s not a bad idea at all to set this location to a family vacation. The excellent hiking trails and climbing lessons should provide a great deal of adventure for the whole family.

Yellowstone

If you and your family love the outdoors, Yellowstone is pretty much an essential destination. Not to mention, it won’t cost you your arm and leg. From the multicolored pools to the verdant forests, you’re going to have a hard time stopping your jaw from hitting the floor. As one of the greatest unspoiled beauty in the States, Yellowstone is a great affordable destination – just bring your own tent.

Myrtle Beach

If your idea of a good time means busy boardwalks and brown-sugar-colored beach, Myrtle Beach is an easy recommendation. Even if you are planning to check in on a hotel, you can find budget-friendly options that will only set you less than $1,000. There are family deals from that will let the whole family have some fun in the sun.
